    I met friends for lunch, and was happy when they chose this restaurant. It has been a few years since I have been to the Smokehouse, and I have missed it so much. The distance is the ONLY reason that keeps me away. The first time I stepped into the restaurant, I felt I was transported back in time to the 1950s or 60s. The restaurant was established in over 75 years ago! Usually, I have a sandwich, tacos or salad for lunch. On this day, I had a mega open-face Prime Rib sandwich and it was incredibly delicious!! We just had to order the famous Gatlic Cheesebrrad. Beware, they will "ask" you if you would like bread, but it is not complimentary. We didn't mind the nominal charge, though, it was worth it. I love the leather booths, wood trimmed furnishings and the wait staff professionally dressed in white shirts and black slacks. Their stellar service and robust menu keeps their customers returning year after year. Popular items are the French Onion Soup (Fri-Sunday only); Prime Rib Sandwich, Chateaubriand (for two ... isn't that romantic???), Rack of Lamb, Pork Chops, BBQ chicken and ribs, plus Seafood (Stuffed Salmon, Shrimp Scampi, or Lobster tail). Price range is $35 to $65 per person. Note: A children's menu is available, the average price is $10 per entree). Reservations are a must! They are located across from the movie studios and movie executives, producers, and celebrities dine here. Treat yourself and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!

    I am giving it four stars for the ambience and the staff, but the food I'm sorry it was not up to par. What was good was the cheese-garlic bread and the wedge salad... but the prime rib, I was very disappointed tiny not very tasty so it wouldn't bleed vegetables blah, mashed potatoes blah. Cocktails were very good. We will be back, but not having a prime rib again or the mashed potatoes. Forgot to mention they served the cream spinach to my husband. It was rotten brown disgusting. Will never have that one again either.

    We had a spectacular evening here! The lounge & live music made the perfect vibe for a Saturday date night. We started with an old fashion and Manhattan followed by the famous garlic bread & grilled artichoke. For our entrees, we split the Cajun pasta, filet mignon, and added the shrimp scampi and béarnaise. Our sweet treat was the crème brûlée. Every single thing was perfect! Steak was exactly medium rare, the artichoke was nice & smokey without being burned, and that scampi mixed into the pasta--heaven! Our server Walter was kind & attentive; the overall ambiance was perfectly old school without feeling stale. And the cover band was so entertaining! We will absolutely be back!

    Last Friday, I went to have dinner at the smokehouse. I ordered a prime rib and my daughter ordered chicken piccata. The food was great and the service of Pedro was outstanding. We had a great time and the ambience was good. I really enjoyed the garlic bread. No room for desert this time.
